Downloadable Press Assets

The following assets are available for editorial use in coverage of CROWN, our research, and our programmes. All assets may be used without additional permission for journalistic purposes. For other uses, please contact [email protected].

CROWN’s visual identity is designed to convey institutional authority, research credibility, and warmth.

Usage guidelines: The CROWN logo should not be altered, recoloured, or placed on backgrounds that compromise legibility. Minimum clear space around the logo should equal the height of the CROWN mark.

Selected statistics for immediate use:

  • Black women’s hair is 2.5 times more likely to be perceived as unprofessional (Dove/LinkedIn, 2023)
  • 80 percent of Black women feel they must alter their natural hair for the workplace (Dove/LinkedIn, 2023)
  • 54 percent of Black girls aged 12 report hair-related teasing from peers (UConn, 2025)
  • 56 percent of ethnic minorities in the EU experienced discrimination in the preceding year (OECD, 2025)
  • Zero European countries have legislation specifically protecting natural hair
